Good Morning My Fellow Sisters and Brothers in Christ. I hope that all is well and if you are struggling at the moment, this too shall past. Hold on to God's unchanging hand. Jesus will see you through even if He has to carry you. I have a T-Shirt given to me from my Mom for my birthday.
It reads: Life is Good because God is Great!!
Have you ever heard the saying, The Mind is Strong but the Flesh is Weak. To me, this means that our brain is wanting and willing to do the right thing, the Christian thing, yet, our heart is tuned into doing things that are selfish, harmful and painful. So much so that is can place a strain on our relationship with God. But, it is God who created us and he knows our weaknesses. He will come to our rescue because it states in the Lord's Prayer, Lead us not into Temptation and deliver us from evil. Temptation and evil can be one.
We all have challenges in our life. Satan knows these challenges. Yet, all challenges are not bad. While Satan may use weaknesses against us, God does not. For in our weakness, God is made strong and through this, we learn that He is in Control. Do you know that through weakness, temptation rears its ugly head? This is when the Flesh come to the surface. But, we fight doing our Carnal needs, through Reading the Word, Prayer, Fasting, Christian Fellowship with other active Christians and most importantly through the Holy Spirit.
Often times we may listen to the Flesh to please, not just ourselves, but others. If you are like me, I don't like to say No and this has had me to do things that I am not comfortable with, not ready for, or things I know are displeasing to my Savior. We forget who we are to please. We love our family and friends and we want to do what they ask of us to do in an effort keep them happy. But, I read a Joyce Meyers article that stated:
It's not your job to keep everybody else in the world happy at the expense of disobeying God and losing yourself in the process. It's time for you to live the life that God wants you to live and be the person that God wants us to be.
On some days, weeks, months it will not be easy but that is where Jesus comes into play. Earnestly ask Him for help as there are so many things we cannot do on our own. Believe me, where we are weak, He is Strong. Praise Him!
