Wonderful Greetings My Brothers and Sisters!
I hope these few words reach you all doing well. I am praying daily that I allow the Holy Spirit to direct my paths, and that my Wisdom is stronger than my Flesh to where I listen to His voice and do what Jesus asks.
For the most part it is easy to Pray or talk to God. Some of us may feel they have yet to develop their relationship with Christ to a point where they can Pray to Him at any time, about anything. However, talking with the Savior seems to be easier that doing what HE asks of us. You may have heard people say that all of life's answers can be found the Holy Bible. When we are feeling distressed, worried, downcast, confused, anxious, etc.....reading the word of God will direct your paths to what He requires of, us as, His Children.
Now, once we get that answer or that instruction...Do we really want to do or act out His will?
The Mind is Strong but, the Flesh is weak (Romans 7:15).
I write to tell you that we can overcome the Flesh. It cannot be done overnight. It can't be done over months. But, if we earnestly pray, read His Word, (sometimes even Fast) and ask our Father to help us move that mountain (Mark 11:23), whatever it is that is keeping us from being in fellowship with Christ, He will do it! It does become easier and we can keep Sin at bay.
I pray daily that God helps me to be slow to anger and slow to speak. I ask Him to show me and stop me when I do something that I know is displeasing to Him such as gossiping or complaining or not let that vehicle get in front of me when the Driver has failed to put on their signal light. I concentrate on knowing that God grants me life to Glorify Him. The days He Blesses me with are to live so that He can use me to Act and Show others that I (and they) can be obedient because Jesus lives in and through us by way of His Holy Spirit (John 14:15-17 and 26) that gives us the Power to overcome all that our sinful Flesh brings our way.
I/WE AM/ARE a work in Progress. But, it feels so good when I hear my Savior voice and do as He says. Start with something small and He will eventually give you and me larger things---increasing our territory (1 Chronicle 4:10) with much more allowing us to reach the lost one person at a time.
Let us SHOW our Christianity and not just Talk about it.
CHRISTIANS IN ACTION!
He who began a great work in us will be sure to complete it!
